Enemies to Lovers/Friends to LoversThat is right up my ally. I love seeing these relationships blossom into something so much more. I crave for those first struggles of accepting unwelcome feelings, the build up tension and then the explosive bang at the end. I live for these stories. Sadly I'm rarely compensated for reading them. They usually leave a bad aftertaste after wasting hours reading horrible dialogue with even worse inter rambling monologue.
So you can imagine this was a delightful surprise. I loved the characters, their complexities and flaws, their ambiguity and realism. I savored the angst (which is a rare occurrence). I adored the tension, that uncertainty of what was to come. I relished in that feeling of terror that any time now the rug was about to be pulled from under me.
Definitely one of the better new adults out there.
One of those books I read on a whim. Lately these books seem to be the ones I end up liking.
